Arm CEO Rene Ha recently shared his vision for AI applications, envisioning a future where all AI applications run on Arm chips in some form. This strategic shift indicates that, after successfully establishing itself as the "king of mobile chips" with its "Windows on Arm" strategy, Arm is now moving towards "AI on Arm."

Arm is accelerating its AI layout by setting up an AI chip department and strengthening cooperation with partners. There have been reports that Arm established an AI chip department supported by SoftBank investment, aiming to achieve mass production by 2025. When asked about these reports, Arm's Vice President of Product Solutions Dermot O'Driscoll neither confirmed nor denied them.

During a media Q&A session regarding the goals set by Arm in the field of developing AI chips, O'Driscoll emphasized that it is essential for their products to be applicable in any domain requiring computational solutions. He stressed that all submarkets involving AI training or inference would utilize ARM's chip solutions.

Recently, the Arm Technology Forum concluded in Shenzhen, marking the end of their five-city tour across Asia-Pacific regions. Industry analysts point out that as Arm enters the era of artificial intelligence (AI), its internal architecture is undergoing changes.

As a leading provider of computing platforms, ARM has always placed great importance on communication and collaboration with downstream companies such as Qualcomm and Apple. However, given the rapid growth in demand for AI services within mobile platforms, ARM hopes to leverage its technological solutions for successful transformation.

In recent years, this company has also become more focused on developers and directly cooperates with various terminal manufacturers through strategic partnerships and collaborations.

Through these efforts and partnerships beyond traditional semiconductor industries,

ARM aims at creating more than one billion devices supporting Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology by 2025

According to James McNiven who serves as VP product management at ARM.

He stated that “Artificial Intelligence will be one of the most important technological revolutions this century”

and could potentially become humanity’s most important technology.

McNiven pointed out if only relying on hardware or software alone without synchronizing development across hardware-software-ecosystem aspects would hinder progress integration into various fields.

To solve this issue,

ARM strives to accelerate development through creating more suitable hardware tailored specifically for Artificial Intelligence needs along with software requirements necessary for an age dominated by Artificial Intelligence technologies like Armv9 architecture & Kleidi showcased previously.

McNiven further noted: From personal terminals down data centers — ultimately turning into core components within smart devices' futures — he hopes ARMs' products can serve foundations upon which software operates during an era dominated by Artificial Intelligence technologies like Armv9 architecture & Kleidi showcased previously

The company had already established itself atop smartphone processors before expanding markets such as PC servers automotive sectors generating excitement around 'Windows On Arms'. Today over 3 trillion units are shipped annually using ARMs-based architectures - a testament not just power but versatility since they're no longer limited solely phones anymore but instead found even inside computers laptops tablets etcetera while still maintaining dominance there too!
